How bird’s nest is graded
Value in bird’s nest is set by appearance and cleanliness. Whole cups are assessed on completeness of shape, cup size and weight, thickness of the strands, natural color and the amount of residual feather or impurity after cleaning. Strips and pieces are graded on strand length, cleanliness and moisture, and are the practical choice where the nest will be cooked into a dessert or beverage.
We describe each lot by grade, cleaning method and moisture, and supply photographs so that you can judge it the way your customers will.
Traceability and market access
Bird’s nest is one of the most tightly controlled products we handle. Many importing countries accept it only from registered or approved processing facilities, with traceability back to the swiftlet house and specific health certification. Requirements differ widely and change over time, so we confirm the eligibility of the supplying facility for your destination before quoting, not after.

Which markets can you ship bird’s nest to?
Only markets for which the supplying facility is registered or otherwise eligible, with the required health certification. Because this varies by country and changes over time, tell us your destination when you inquire and we will confirm eligibility before quoting.
What is the difference between whole cups and strips?
Whole cups keep the natural half-cup shape and are valued for presentation and gifting. Strips and pieces come from nests that break during harvesting or cleaning. They cook in the same way and are the economical choice where the nest is not served whole.
Can you provide laboratory test reports?
Yes. Independent laboratory testing can be arranged per lot for the parameters your market requires. Typical requests include nitrite, moisture, microbiology and heavy metals. Results are shared before shipment.
Do you supply raw, uncleaned nest?
Raw nest can be discussed for licensed processors only, where both origin and destination rules permit its trade. Most of our customers buy cleaned product ready for use or retail.
