Specified the way the trade buys
Marine delicacies are bought on detail. Abalone is traded by head count, fish maw by thickness and weight per piece, conpoy by diameter, and sea cucumber by species and count per kilogram. Our offers state each of these explicitly, together with origin and processing style, so that a quotation from us can be compared line by line with your current supply.
For repeat programs we agree a written specification and retain a reference portion of the approved lot. Subsequent shipments are checked against that reference, which is how premium kitchens and gift-box brands keep their product consistent from one season to the next.
Sourcing, processing and quality control
We work with established processors in the main producing regions and review each partner’s drying practice, sanitation and record-keeping before their product enters our range. Every lot is inspected for piece count, dryness, odor, breakage and foreign matter, and we share pre-shipment photographs of the actual goods you are buying.
Independent laboratory testing for moisture, microbiology, heavy metals or additive residues can be arranged per lot against the limits of your market. Read more about our approach on the export and quality assurance page.
Legal trade and documentation
Several products in this category are regulated. Some sea cucumber species are listed under CITES, wild abalone fisheries operate under quotas and permits, and fish fin trade is prohibited outright in a number of countries. We declare species and origin on every offer, supply CITES-listed species only with valid permits, and decline business that cannot be documented lawfully end to end.
- Scientific name and origin declared on every quotation
- CITES export permits arranged where the species requires them
- No protected species, and no products for markets where their trade is prohibited
- Health certificates, certificates of origin and catch certificates as applicable

FAQ
Premium Marine Delicacies: buyer questions
Can’t find your answer? Speak with an export specialist.
What is the minimum order for premium marine delicacies?
Trial orders typically start between 10 kg and 20 kg per grade, depending on the product. Higher-value items such as large-head abalone or thick fish maw can be supplied in smaller trial quantities. Regular programs are quoted per specification.
Can I combine several products in one shipment?
Yes. Most first orders combine several products, for example sea cucumber, fish maw and conpoy, on mixed pallets for air or LCL sea freight. We consolidate the documentation so that each line carries its own origin, species and lot information.
How far ahead should I order for Lunar New Year?
We recommend confirming specifications eight to twelve weeks before your required arrival date. Popular grades of abalone, fish maw and conpoy tighten in the months before the festival, and permit-dependent products need additional lead time.
Do you supply retail gift packaging?
We pack into gift boxes, jars and vacuum packs under your brand or ours. See wholesale and private label for formats, artwork support and labeling guidance.
