Frozen

Frozen abalone and ready-to-cook delicacies
Frozen formats give kitchens the character of premium seafood without the days of soaking and preparation that dried product requires. As a frozen abalone supplier we offer in-shell, shucked and cooked abalone, alongside soaked and cleaned sea cucumber, sized by pieces per kilogram with net weight and glaze declared on every carton.
Many of our foodservice customers run both formats: dried abalone for signature dishes and frozen abalone for volume menu items.
Cold-chain handling
Frozen products move in reefer containers set at −18 °C or colder, and chilled and live products by air freight with insulated or oxygenated packing. Temperature data loggers can be placed in consignments on request, and we share loading records and photographs before departure.
- Pre-cooled loading and documented container set points
- Data loggers available for frozen and chilled shipments
- Air-freight routings planned around transit time for chilled and live products
- Glaze percentage and net weight declared per carton
Chilled, live and regulated products
Sea urchin roe and caviar have short shelf lives and specific handling needs. Sturgeon caviar is CITES-regulated and travels with export permits and CITES-compliant container labels. Live abalone is subject to live-animal and biosecurity rules in many countries, so we confirm feasibility for your destination before quoting. FAQ
Frozen & Live Seafood: buyer questions
Can’t find your answer? Speak with an export specialist.
How is glazing declared on frozen products?
Net weight excluding glaze is stated on every carton and on the commercial invoice, with the glaze percentage declared. Buyers can specify a maximum glaze level in the contract.
Can you ship live abalone to my country?
Possibly. It depends on your country’s live-animal import rules, available air routings and transit time. Tell us your destination airport and volume and we will confirm feasibility before quoting.
What temperature records do you provide?
We provide container set-point records and loading photographs as standard, and can add USB or real-time data loggers to frozen and chilled consignments on request.
Do you supply mixed reefer containers?
Yes. Frozen abalone, sea cucumber and shellfish can be consolidated in one reefer container where the products share a storage temperature and the documentation for each line can be issued.
